  • Web browser cookies

The J Street Entities may use “cookies” to enhance your experience with the Websites. The J Street Entities may also use cookies to measure aggregate web statistics, such as collecting the number of Users to each Website, the number of repeat Users and the most popular webpages, and for other purposes. The J Street Entities do not use cookies to track User activity on an individual basis. You may choose to set your web browser to refuse cookies, or to alert you when cookies are being sent. If you do so, however, some parts of the Websites may not function properly.

  • Personally identifiable information

The J Street Entities collect personally identifiable information, such as names, email addresses, mailing addresses, and credit card information, from Users when they voluntarily provide such information, including, for example, when Users join the email list, register for events or donate money via the Website.

How the J Street Entities Use the Information that They Collect

The J Street Entities use Users’ personal information to better understand how Users use the Websites so that they can improve the Websites and their offerings. The J Street Entities also use Users’ personal information for the purpose for which the Users provided the information, in other words, to add you to their email lists, to register you for an event or to process a donation. If you provide the J Street Entities with your email address, they will add you to their email lists and you will start receiving email communications from them, unless you opt out. The J Street Entities may contact you via email with information that they think will be of interest to you. Your credit card information is not stored by the J Street Entities.

Sharing Personal Information

The J Street Entities use third party service providers to help them operate the Websites and administer activities on their behalf, such as collecting donations online and registering Users for events. These third party vendors may have access to User information but they are required to protect the confidentiality of the information and to use it only for the limited purpose for which it was provided.

In addition, the J Street Entities share personal information about Users amongst the J Street family of organizations – J Street, J Street Education Fund, Inc. and JStreetPAC. The J Street Entities may also share mailing addresses with other organizations that work on issues concerning Israel and/or their vendors who may perform services on behalf of such organizations. Moreover, the J Street Entities may publicly disclose information regarding donors who donated $1800 or more in a calendar year (unless such donors opt to remain anonymous). The J Street Entities will also share personally identifiable information about Users when required to do so by law (including, without limitation, disclosures required by the Federal Election Commission with respect to certain contributions to JStreetPAC), or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with state and federal laws or to respond to a court order, subpoena, or search warrant. The J Street Entities will also share personally identifiable information if they believe it is necessary to protect the rights, property and safety of themselves or others.

The J Street Entities may also share personally identifiable information in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing or acquisition of all or a portion of their businesses to another company. Moreover, the J Street Entities may share personally identifiable information about a User upon the User’s consent.

The J Street Entities may share generic aggregated demographic information not linked to any personally identifiable information regarding Users with third parties.
